How do you choose your Vox neighbors and friends?
Submitted by gcgal.
Funny time for this question to come through heh. I just cleaned up my neighborhood yesterday of people who were not friends or even a good neighbor! I used to friend anyone who friended me. But sadly I had to be a bit choosier on who I accepted into my neighborhood. Some people just post spam which buried anything interesting anyone else may have posted. So now I pick and choose a bit more carefully.
Basically when anyone who is a long term neighbor of mine friends someone, I see it on my daily update and look at the new neighbors site and see if there is a connection of some sort. Sometimes there is, sometimes there is not.
Sadly I do not have the time to actively search for friends on my own, so I steal my neighborhoods friends ;)
If you could leave notes for the future, what message would you have left in the past for today?

How are you celebrating the 4th of July?
We are going to the future mother in laws house and cooking out. I am bringing my *famous* Chicken Bow Tie pasta. We are closing festivities by going down to the lake and watching the town shoot off fireworks, as we dodge the mosquitos ;)
If you could do anything you want tomorrow, what would it be?

Depending on the reality factor of this question, there are a few things that I could easily wish for, or actually do tomorrow.
On the assumption it has no bearing on reality or funds, I would go to Santorini Greece with a lot of memory cards and snap pictures from sun-up til sun-down as I explore the island.
What does blogging do for you?
Submitted by Madeleine Rose.
Blogging makes my world go round!
I have too many of them, I try to keep them all updated, but... meh sometimes that is not possible.
They have gifted me however with a rather large derrière now though from spending all my time with them. They love me so much!
I think I am going to start a blog though about my weight loss, I have begun cheating on my blogs by spending time with my treadmill and said derrière is beginning to pack it's bags and leave, so now I am afraid that the blogs will find out and get jealous.
Has anything unlucky happened to you today?
Absolutely not, I had a wonderful conversation with Creeva this morning and I kept thinking omg I have to get outside and start setting up for the garage sale tomorrow and *knock knock* there is a gentleman at the door wanting to know if we are still having our garage sale today?
Huh?
We didn't have it published cause it's $30 which is just crazy, but it seems that the gentleman had put in the wrong address, the one in the paper was down the street. So we untarped the bit that we had set out yesterday and he proceeded to buy $20 worth of stuff.! So the hubby and I looked at each other and said *Oh Yeah!* and proceeded to make a sign saying *Tag sale today!* and got to bringing stuff out and ended up having a nicely profitable day!
Here is to hoping tomorrow goes just as well and better!
What are some of the best(and worst) things about summer?
Submitted by L33tchica.
*Worst*
Bugs and intense heat. I hate these!
I would give anything to be a natural bug repeller, then I could pretty much do anything during the summer, unless it is over like 90 degrees.. then I just *lay* unable to move, looking for a rock to crawl under to stay cool. Or at least an AC unit... ;)
*Best*
Being able to go swimming!
Walking along the beach!
Getting a suntan and just feeling glorious Sol warming the soul!
Going for hikes through the mountains!
Finding backroads to explore!
Tossing frisbees around!
just to name a few!

Lenox, Mass.
The difference between where I live now and where I grew up...
Not a whole lot, I grew up in a small town with small town values. I loved my home town til it went to the gutter in the early 90's and the gangs took it over.
Where I live now has alot of kids thankfully so my shorties have friends galore and a wonderful school district
What did you do for fun when you were a kid? How is it different from what you see kids doing now?
Submitted by jaklumen.
When I was a kid we went outside... you could not get us to sit inside and watch the boob tube unless it was Creature Feature Saturday and The Son of Svengoolie -laying on the couch with Dad oohing and aahhing over the scariness of the B horrors. Or Tuesday nights line-up of Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley and I think Mork and Mindy - that was family night. We would actually get to eat TV dinners in the rec room!
All in all though we would either be at the park across the street playing on the monkey bars, walking around town, or riding our bikes. I don't remember a single boring time as a kid, there were always other kids to play with in large amounts.
Granted it prolly helped that we grew up in a Vietnam vets VA community. It was early 70's, there were lots of couples with young kids... the town was built over a couple year period and everyone buying there was within the same age group. So there was no shortage of young kids running around.
Damn I miss the 70's.
What do you do when you get a crush on someone?
Submitted by Desi.
Well, first I find out everything I can about them. I start by searching the internet for anything about them. Then I start parking outside of where they work and watch them through high powered binoculars, making sure no one has any claim on them or goes anywhere near them, or tries to take what is mine.
Then the chase starts, I will follow them everywhere they go, bump into em at grocery stores, at the laundromat, at the movies... even try to get em to pay for my ticket! I will start leaving messages for them on their email, letting them know how much I love them and can't live without them, but anonymously cause I am shy like that.
I will eventually befriend them and start inviting myself over then and getting them little gifts to show how much I like them, every day they will get a bigger and better gift and at any time by this point they will express their love for me I just know it!!!
But if they don't return my love.. how can I live without them then? After all that I had invested in showing my love for them and the bastard threw it back in my face, I told him I can't live without him and I wont!!
He will have one last chance to return my love, before the night that I sneak into his house with a box of ex-lax, milk of magnesia and caster oil. I have watched his every move and I know that before he goes to bed at night he has a big glass of milk.
I'll bet the male population is glad I am married and not out there searching for Mr. Right about now! :D
(for those without a sense of humor... this is a joke :P)
