Viruses or Viri.. how ever you want to spell it
Both me and my computer got sick. Me about 3 weeks ago.. I have no idea what I caught but wow it has a hold of me. Every time I think I shook it, it comes back with a vengeance.
Evidently it is very catchy cause my computer caught a virus also. Quite a nasty one at that, about two weeks ago it contracted the Vundo, Virtuamonde and Smith-C viruses as well as a host of others. It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to go to any pages that I do google searches for, so many of them I get virus warnings on. Well this one page I went to was an immediate and fast infection. Thankfully I have two hard drives and all my photography is kept on the other hard drive, but I lost massive amounts of other not as essential stuff on my main HD
I gotta wonder, why do people create viruses? I mean seriously, I know there are malicious people out there, but it really makes you wonder if the virus protection companies are not the ones releasing these buggers lol. They are the only ones who stand to make a buck out of them. Well other than the hackers who use zombie computers, those are mostly unobvious though as in, you have no idea you are even connected to a web of zombie computers.
But that is a story for another time, when it is dark outside and the moon is full, the campfire is burning low and tales of zombie computers over running the world will make your heart skip a beat...
So yeah, to the maker(s) of Vundo... kiss my white butt and get a life.

After a trip to the ER Friday the doc double checked to make sure it was not pneumonia, he said it sure sounds like it, but it isn't so phew! He did give me some really nice narcotic cough syrup though so I can at least get some sleep at night! The sleep is really helping me to get over this finally :)
