Nice shot for your first try. So do you love it? Are you devouring every word of the manual? Is it so delicious that you have to stop and savor each crumb of advice? I'm so jealous but happy for you!
Thanks WPG!
lol I was up waaaay too late playing with everything and reading the manual. I also picked up this nice little book by Charlotte K Lowrie called written explicitly for 400D. It has already come in so very handy!

Now I just have to get signed up at to take some digital courses and the photoshop courses and I am good to go! :D

Oh btw, I found the handiest forum for Canon users, if anyone is interested check it out. They also have general photography information as well :)

YAY!!!!! Can't wait for more! The first one is Divine!
Thanks LOIL!
I have not had a chance to do anything with the camera today, we have been preparing for the Nor'easter due this weekend and of course everything got shut down today due to the storm we got this morning. Meaning I got to drive all over the place picking kids up from school and work and stocking up on food to last us the next week!
Once the weather lets up a bit though I will try to get some pics up... I just can't imagine taking it out in the wet weather and *gasp* risk getting a snow drop on it... yet.. I gotta break it in first :D
Hope the storms are kind to you, bringing you beauty, but also keeping you safe. That said, Take it out and bring an umbrella! : )
We're up to 8 inches now! :D

Yikesss! 8" of snow all at one time! Do I hear move to Arizona?
Stay safe girl! I miss the snow sometimes but not enough to go back to it. We had our air conditioner on yesterday for about 5 or6 hours cause it was warm and muggy lol. Hugs
haha! Final count was almost 10"!!! I am going to be wishing I lived in AZ in about 10 minutes when we all go outside to start shoveling hehe... needless to say the kiddies are going to be waaaaay late to school today. I can't believe they did not call off school today, most people who live in the mountains have some pretty long drive-ways and our friend who plows our drive won't be here til who knows when! The entire eastern seaboard is buried today lol!
OMG it is 23 degrees here lol... I lived in NC for a few years and winter and Christmas just did not seem right without snow, it was one of the very few things I disliked about southern living sadly, well that and no bugs die in the winter down there OMG they just kept growing hehe
So Leicca where do you live?

I love your first new never before taken picture with your new never used before camera! (i'm trying to get you used to the instruction manual, haha!) Great pictures and hope you have a lot of fun.
I live smack dab in the middle of the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in western Massachusetts. Coming from the midwest [Illinois] I don't think I will ever get tired of the beauty of this rolling mountainous state.
lol sadly it is looking like I am not going to really have time to delve into much photography til after the holidays, I waited too long to order it me thinks! Busy busy busy here the past couple weeks. I can't wait til the holidays are over now! I want to play with my toy hehe
Wow sounds like a great place to live, can hardly wait to see more photos.
